Starter Generator – DC 23032 Series

Description

The 23032 Series DC Starter Generator is manufactured or cataloged by Safran Power (TRW Lucas Goodrich) and is designed to provide torque for engine starting and to generate 30 volts DC electrical power. The Nominal rated Voltage is 30 Vdc, and the Over Speed Range is 26-30 Vdc. The External Start Power is 28 Vdc, 500 A max. The starter generator is a self-excited, brush-type unit that consists of a stator and housing assembly incorporating four main poles and four interpoles, an armature assembly attached to a dampening drive shaft, end bell bearing supports, brush assembly, fan assembly, and terminal block assembly. The series is air-cooled by a fan assembly drawing in air through the anti-drive end. Generally, these Starter Generators are used on turbine helicopter, turboprop, and light jet aircraft serving the commercial and military sectors.
