Starter Generator – DC 23045 Series

Description

The 23045 Series DC Starter Generator is manufactured or cataloged by Safran Power (TRW Lucas Goodrich) and is designed to provide torque for engine starting and to generate 30 volts DC electrical power. The starter generator is a self-excited, brush-type unit that consists of a stator and housing assembly incorporating four main poles and four interpoles, an armature assembly attached to a dampening drive shaft, end bell bearing supports, brush assembly, fan assembly, and terminal block assembly. The series is air-cooled by a fan assembly drawing in air through the anti-drive end. Generally, these Starter Generators are used on turboprop and light jet aircraft serving the commercial and military sectors.
