Description
Aircraft Parts Corp. (Skurka) manufactures or catalogs the 400SG Series DC Starter Generator. This Starter Generator provides engine-driven DC power for 28-volt aircraft electrical systems and supplies starting power for lightweight turbine engines. An efficient integral fan draws air in at the anti-drive end of the generator to permit self-cooled operation. The DC output is 28.5 Volts and 300 Amperes with a continuous operating speed of 12,000 RPMs. The external starting power is 28 VDC Max and 1,700 Amperes Max. Operators generally use these Starter Generators on turbine helicopters, turboprops, and light jet aircraft in the commercial and military sectors.
