Description

The 30E20 Series DC Starter Generator was originally manufactured or cataloged by Bendix Corporation. The Starter-Generator is used as an engine-driven source of DC power in a 28-volt aircraft electrical system and as a source of starting power for lightweight turbine engines. A fan draws air in at the anti-drive end of the generator to permit self-cooled operation. The DC output is 30 Volts and 300 Amperes with a rated speed between 4,000 – 8,000 rpm. The minimum speed for regulation is 4,400 rpm, the maximum is 10,000, and the overspeed is 11,000 rpm. The drive spine is 16-tooth, and the rotation viewed from the drive end is counterclockwise. Generally, the 30E20 Series Starter Generators are used on turbine helicopter, turboprop, and light jet aircraft serving the commercial and military sectors.
