Customer Service Representative Career Description

We seek a results-driven Customer Service Representative to actively engage customers and prospects to meet established customer service and sales goals. Duties include managing customer service inquiries, quoting clients via email/phone, and other front office support activities. To succeed in this role, you must understand the customer service/sales process and dynamics and have superb interpersonal skills. Experience in a customer service/sales role with documented exceptional performance is required.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service, manage inbound phone calls, quote clients, and promote products/services to existing and prospective customers.

Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships

  • Reach out to existing clients to ensure product and customer service satisfaction
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon customer service/sales targets and outcomes
  • Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
  • Supply management reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback
  • Assist the front office team with opening jobs, preparing quotes, invoicing, and various other duties

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with the ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Highly motivated, and the target is driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience’s needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
