Description

The 30B37 Series DC Starter Generator was originally manufactured or cataloged by Bendix Corporation. The Starter-Generator is used as an engine-driven source of DC power in a 28-volt aircraft electrical system and as a source of starting power for lightweight turbine engines. A fan draws air in at the anti-drive end of the generator to permit self-cooled operation. The DC output is 30 Volts and 400 Amperes with a rated speed between 4,000 – 8,000 rpm and a minimum speed for regulation of 4,500 rpm. The drive spine is 16-tooth with a shear strength of 930-1030 lb-in. Generally, the 30B37 Series Starter Generators are used on turboprop and light jet aircraft serving the commercial and military sectors.
